Need Adwords Software? You Better Believe It !
It takes a lot of work to find or create a product then design and build a website. When you have amazed yourself by achieving (and it is an achievement) this you are confronted by the next hurdle. You need as many visitors to your new site as possible, so exactly how do you encourage them to show up ?
Driving traffic to your site is a huge subject and it seems someone comes up with a different way of doing it every week. There are tried and tested methods including writing for forums, blogs and social websites as well as links of all kinds and the frequently misunderstood S.E.O., search engine optimisation. However if it's speed your after one method stands out, you've probably guessed it, Google's PPC ads can have prospective buyers coming to your site in a matter of hours.
Do a Google search for just about anything and on the right of the page will show up a list of small four line ads. These are Google's own pay per click ads. They mean just that, clicking on them will not only take you to the website featured in the ad but will result in the owner of that site being charged for the click. This may be nothing new to you but what you might not realise is the yawning gap between how the casual user of these ads and the professionals handle them.
The guys who make the big bucks as well as those who do very nicely thank you have a completely different approach to their PPC campaigns.
So how do they do things differently ? It?s all about scale. They start with the keywords, research produces thousands, even tens of thousands of keywords. Excellent and free software is available from Google in the shape of their External Keyword Tool. By using this correctly - we will get to that at another time- they are ready for the next stage, which is to create adwords ads. Line one is the headline and this does not need any further thought, it must be the keyword phrase ! The next two lines are there to sell the benefits of your product and the bottom line is your website address. Although the headline stays the same you have two different ads in every ad group and no more than one keyword !
I was very disappointed when I first learned about this method. I couldn't imagine how it was physically possible to compose, write and upload thousands of ad groups without getting into serious trouble with my nearest and dearest, not to mention the effect on my own mental state. I knew, even then, that Google would not accept a headline greater then 25 characters, so what happened then ?
Obviously staying small could be the answer and just forget about this large scale approach. The problem is scale works. Again not space here to explain the whys and wherefores and why keeping a tight hold on the purse strings is important. Just take my word for it that big is better.
O.K. so we create adwords campaigns on a large scale to find those elusive, order producing, keywords but clearly this cannot be done manually. Adwords software is the only way forward. It needs to be able to create and handle hundreds even thousand of keywords and ad groups and have them set up to be easily uploaded to the web. Moreover it needs an automatic device to deal with the situation where the keyword headline is longer than 25 characters.
Time to kiss the old manual approach goodbye and embrace technology. All very well but I?m technically challenged and at the time of doing this less than prosperous.
To begin with all I could find were programs that I would have spent months trying to understand and were, in any case, far more expensive than I could afford.
My search did have a happy ending. That was the beginning of a new, more profitable, era for me and could be for you !
